It's a funny story
Wall & Paper started, more or less, because Marina took one look at the idea of going back to her old office job after having her son Luka and thought: absolutely not.
Luckily, she came from good stock. Her father is a well-known graphic designer in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and her mother runs a print shop, which meant the family already had strong opinions about paper stock and the machines to back them up. Her husband Angel, a film director with an eye for what actually looks good, took one look at all that combined talent sitting around and declared it a business.
So that's us: one very persuasive new mother, a perfectionist grandfather with an eye for design, a grandmother who's owned a printing press longer than most people have owned a car, and a director with the taste to know a good wall when he sees one. Luka mostly contributes by napping.
